On our Saturday loop through Montana's Centennial Valley in September 2026, we came in over the pass from the Idaho side, drove west along the valley and then north, and turned back toward the Red Rock Lakes refuge instead of climbing into the Gravelly Range. The gravel roads are on the south side of the valley; the north side is unimproved. The road we took isn't in onX, though it is on regular maps, and its last stretch back toward the refuge is sketchy.
